No, a boat licence is not required. The boats are speed restricted to less than 10 knots. You do need photo ID and a security deposit (cash or card) of $100 or $200 or if under 21 years of age $200 or $500 (depending on which boat is hired), payable at the time of hire.

No, our team provide a briefing covering safety, navigation and boat operation prior to departure. A map and information book is onboard. As long as you clearly understand and abide by the instructions it will be “smooth sailing”. This also applies to kayaking and stand up paddle boarding, and, if you need help or clarification on anything, just ask.

Booking is always recommended to ensure you have your preferred craft with your ideal departure time and duration ready for you. Booking ahead can be done directly through our website, over the phone or pop down and see us.

Life jacketPFD/buoyancy vests are included in the hire price for 10kg and up. On a boat if you have an infant/toddler under 10kg – we provide adult buoyancy vests and in case of emergency the adult should wear one and cradle the infant. We do not recommend taking infants/toddlers on kayaks or stand up paddle boards.

The hirer must be 18 years or over and must be on the boat at all times for a boat hire. A waiver must be read, completed and signed by an adult parent or guardian (18+). With kayaking or stand up paddle boarding a parent or guardian must read, complete, and sign, the waiver taking responsibility for minors (under 18) if they the parent or guardian do not wish to participate.

Yes. We welcome all your family and friends. For boats, kayaks and stand up paddle boards PFD/buoyancy vests are included with the hire. PFD/buoyancy vests are for 10kg+. We recommend PFD/buoyancy vests are worn by toddlers and children on boats and by children on kayaks and SUP’s. If you have an infant under 10kg adult vests are provided on a boat and in case of emergency the adult should wear one and cradle the infant. We do not recommend taking infants/toddlers on kayaks or stand up paddle boards.

Yes, all our boats have canopies providing reasonable shade.

All boats have canopies providing protection from light rain. Spray may come over the bow (front) of the boat. With kayaks typically paddlers will get a wet bottom and wet feet so dress accordingly. With stand up paddle boards we recommend swimwear.

Boats and kayaks are provided with a map. You can explore Noosa Sound and canals, Noosa River mouth, Frying Pan Island,  Noosaville, Tewantin, the entrance to Lake Cooroibah. In a kayak or stand up paddle board you can also head down Weyba Creek towards Lake Weyba. All hire craft are restricted to the Noosa River and not permitted in the ocean.

Yes, you can hire boats, kayaks and stand up paddle boards for extended periods. Rates vary dependant on the time of year so feel free to get in contact.

Pet friendlySome people bring along the furry friends which we welcome. Small to medium breeds are permitted on boats but are restricted from all the seats/upholstery.

Our “Sweetwater” is the only boat fitted with a BBQ. Please note that there is a minimum 3 hour hire to use the BBQ. If you are taking one of the smaller boats we can suggest locations for food or you are welcome to bring food with you.

The hire boat ‘hirer/driver’ (anyone who is in control of the craft) must have a blood alcohol level under 0.05 (identical to a motor vehicle). We recommend all hirers and any person/s, if consuming alcohol, must do so responsibly in consideration of the safety of all others.

For boat hire we provide 2 x rods (egg beaters), 2 x handlines, knife, cutting board, small tackle box (hooks, sinkers, swivels) and a bucket. Bait can be purchased from us (prawns, squid, pilchards, worms). Please let us know if you would like any fishing accessories on arrival.

EskyThese are included in your boat hire, just ask when you arrive. We do NOT sell ice. The closest retailers are a few minutes walking distance from us. These are Noosa Wine Cellar, Hastings Street Supermarket or 7-Eleven – Noosa Heads.

We recommend you leave valuables at your accommodation and NOT to wear prescription eye wear or items which could be lost or damaged by water. Dry bags are included to take gear (phone, wallet, camera & so on) with you, these are NOT guaranteed 100% waterproof.  Alternately we can store small items in our office at your risk.

Water, soft drink, ice creams, bait and tackle are available for purchase. Bay Village food court is a few minutes walk away and has plenty of options or alternatively you can purchase food elsewhere whilst out on the boat.

No. The nearest toilet is located car park basement level at the rear of Bay Village food court, a few minutes walk.
