Barbeque instructions and helpful tips

A couple of things to note:

A cooking mat is provided to cook your food on that is already setup on your BBQ. Please do not cook directly on the stainless BBQ plate or discard the cooking mat. Our BBQ is very “HOT” two and a half times hotter than you are probably used to. You do not need to warm the BBQ up! The hotplate is designed to be used “ONLY” to directly cook food on. DO NOT place pots, pans, pizza stones, foil etc on the surface as it will overheat and distort.

Gas regulator:

Your gas bottle is fitted with a regulator with a gauge that shows how full the bottle is. Once the bottle is in the open position push down on the gauge twice (double click like a mouse) to release the gas flow.

In case of fire:

  • A fire blanket next to the Captain’s Chair can be used to suffocate and/or confine the fire.
  • A fire extinguisher and fire bucket are located in the drivers console and can be accessed on the same key set used to start the boat.

Clean up:

Cleaning equipment is provided in the BBQ box. We appreciate you cleaning the BBQ after use (or a $25 cleaning fee will apply). Thank you!

Tips for igniting the BBQ:

  1. Please see “Gas Regulator” section above.
  2. Ensure the inspection port on the left hand side of the BBQ is closed when trying to ignite the BBQ. This can then be opened to ensure the burner is lit.
  3. Turn and push in the gas knob clockwise and hold for 3~5 seconds. Sometimes this can take a 2~5 turns to ignite.
  4. There is a lighter in your BBQ box if you are having issues with the built-in ignition system.
  5. Try not to BBQ in a windy area as this can make it more difficult to ignite the gas burners.
