10 Feb At what age can you hire a boat?

An adult (over 18 years of age) must be present on the boat at all times. Note that an adult will also have to sign a digital waiver taking responsibility for the boat, equipment and whoever is present on the boat. Anyone from 16 and up can drive the boat provided someone 18 years or older is able to take over control if necessary (that was present during the safety briefing).

A security deposit is also required which can vary pending on which boat you would like to hire in addition to your age.

If you want to have a little one on your lap whilst steering this is common however as a responsible skipper please always be ready to resume steering if a situation becomes unsafe.
