One of the most commonly asked questions is whether you need a boat licence to hire a boat and put simply, you don’t.

Why don’t I need a boat licence?

• All our hire boats are speed restricted to less than 10 knots
• You are given instruction on how to use the boat
• A map is provided with ideas on what you can do for your time

I don’t have any boating experience, can I still hire one?

Of course! We get plenty of fresh faced captains coming to hire a boat on Noosa River for the first time. Provided you abide by the instruction given by our staff it will all be smooth sailing.

What do I need to hire a boat?

You must be at least 18 years of age to hire a boat and also have photo ID. A security deposit ($100/$200) is required prior to departure.
