The Noosa River is a hive of activity and one of the common questions asked is can I stop and what can I do if I stop? The below will typically apply to both boat hire, kayak hire and stand up paddle hire.

Are there places to eat?

The shorefront has countless cafes, restaurants and take away options to stop at throughout your trip. A popular option is to get take away fish and chips to enjoy on the boat. Noosaville has a large selection of options to suit most appetites.

Can I stop for a swim?

Of course, the water is clearest at the Noosa River Mouth however you are welcome to swim throughout the system with some exceptions. The water temperature sits around mid 20’s throughout most of the year so is ideal year round. Noosa River is connected to the ocean so is no different from swimming on main beach.

Anywhere for a picnic?

There are plenty of secluded areas if you want some quiet time amongst yourselves. We are happy to provide an esky / cool box just don’t forget to bring some ice. Our team will be happy to make some suggestions on what you can do for your time.

What about kids?

There are plenty of sandbanks for kids to play in the sand or stop for a swim. There are also some large playgrounds along Noosa River with the most notable being pirate park (pictured at the top).
