16 Nov Things are heating up
Winter isn’t coming, Summer is!
With temperatures popping over 30 degrees now it’s the perfect time to cool off with your own hire craft. The water temperature is sitting around the low 20’s making it refreshing to jump in and cool off.
When is the best time to go?
Temperatures are lower in the morning so if you plan on avoiding the heat this is the ideal time. Wind tends to increase as the day gets on which although does feel cooler it can make it harder paddling for kayak hire and stand up paddle board hire. Overall we recommend mornings due to it being a lower temperature and smoother waters.
What should I do?
With boat hire we recommend heading up to the Noosa River Mouth. Pull up on one of the many sandbanks and cool off for a swim. We have an Esky/Coolbox available so take along some cold drinks and perhaps some seafood to nibble on whilst you relax.
For kayak hire try heading down to Weyba Creek and enjoy the biosphere to it’s fullest. Abundant with bird and aquatic life find a secluded patch of sand to relax on away from the crowds. Some eateries are nearby to Weyba Creek so why not get some cold prawns to enjoy on the shore whilst dipping your toes into the water.
Finally for stand up paddle board hire do a little tour around the canals and see how the other half live. With plenty of sandy shorelines to pull up and rest the muscles you can always jump in for a quick swim or just lay on the boards and work on that summer tan.
